The Vans Aircraft RV-6 is one of the most popular homebuilt aircraft in the history of general aviation. This aircraft was introduced in 1985 by Van's Aircraft Inc., a company founded by Richard VanGrunsven, commonly known as 'Van.' Van's Aircraft initially focused on designing and producing kits for homebuilt planes, tapping into a niche market of aviation enthusiasts who preferred building and customizing their own aircraft.
